A man accused of shooting a pregnant woman in North Carolina who later gave birth has turned himself in. The Davidson County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post that 18-year-old Joshua Kaleb Norman was taken into custody Thursday. It said he was wanted on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon after Wednesday's shooting of 21-year-old Haley Causey.
A Charlotte teen was grazed in the head by a bullet during a drive-by shooting in Steele Creek. Police said a 16-year-old boy was in a car on Steele Creek Road next to the Rivergate Shopping Center when another vehicle pulled up and opened fire.
A homicide investigation is underway after a person was shot in Greensboro early Friday morning, according to Greensboro police. Officers arrived at a home in the 1700 block of Alexandria Road around 1:50 a.m. after reports of a shooting and found a person dead.
No one has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at a convenience store in west Charlotte Wednesday night. The robbery occurred at a Xpress Mart on Glenwood Drive at Interstate 85 around 11 p.m. According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, no one was hurt during the robbery.
No one was hurt when a house caught fire in northeast Charlotte Thursday morning. The fire happened at a home on Echo Glen Road. Firefighters were able to control the blaze. It is unclear what caused the fire. Crews did not say how much damage the fire caused
Greensboro police arrested another man Tuesday night in connection to a motel homicide. Kenya Ricardo James was shot and killed in room 218 of the Super Motel on the 200 block of East Seneca Drive. Mickey Lee Williams, Jr., 33, of Greensboro, was arrested Tuesday after homicide detectives developed sufficient information from interviews and evidence to charge him with first-degree murder.
A man who was wanted in connection with a deadly shooting in Hickory has turned himself in to authorities Tuesday. Thomas Alexander Seabrooks, 32, has been arrested for the murder of Michael Bryan Gardner, 27, of Granite Falls.
A man from Wilmington has been charged in a deadly vehicle crash that happened on New Year’s Day. Trooper J. Ballard of the State Highway Patrol says Steven Derengowski, 25, is charged with driving while impaired after the crash that happened around 8:45 p.m. Monday on River Road in New Hanover County.
A man has been arrested in Columbus County in connection to the death of a missing Myrtle Beach woman. According to a Tuesday night news release from the Columbus County Sheriff's Office, Charles Rayford Hunt Jr. is charged with concealing/failure to report the death of a person. He is being held at the Columbus County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.
A man has been arrested after he called 911 to report that he had shot two people to death, deputies say. The double shooting happened in a home on 3rd Avenue off NC Hwy 210 around 1:15 a.m. Monday
Two people were injured in a wreck involving a tractor-trailer in Rowan County Tuesday morning. The wreck occurred on Peeler Road and Cedar Springs Road in Salisbury. Both of the victims have minor injuries, officials said.

Nearly 2,000 people are without power in east Charlotte after a car ran into a power pole early Sunday morning. The incident occurred on Kilborne Drive around 6:30 a.m. Police are investigating what caused the crash.
The North Carolina ABC Commission suspended the permits of the Cave Gentlemen Club on Friday. The suspension comes after reviewing statements of Jacksonville Police Department following a deadly shooting at the club on December 22. In addition to the shooting at the club, authorities have responded to many service calls involving shots fired, fights, gambling and drug violations since the spring of 2016.
A suspect is in custody after a hit and run in west Charlotte early Saturday morning. Police said the incident occurred at 1:32 a.m. near the intersection of Stuart Andrew Boulevard and Barringer Drive. Patients were treated on scene for minor injuries.
The Chapel Hill Police Department is looking for the man they say is responsible for a robbery. Officers say the robbery happened around 12:20 p.m. Saturday in the area of Kensington Trace Condominiums. They say the man who robbed the victim led the victim to a meeting spot to sell a cell phone that he listed on Craiglist. When the victim arrived, the man got into the victim's car and pulled out a black and gray pistol, took the victim's wallet and ran away without harming the victim.
A man who authorities say was shot by officers after he rammed several police cars while trying to run from police has been charged after his release from the hospital.

Police in Cornelius are asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect in an armed robbery at a Home Depot earlier this month. According to Cornelius Police, officers responded to the Home Depot on Statesville Road for a reported robbery. Witnesses told officers that the suspect acted as if he had a handgun and told a cashier to open their register. The cashier told the suspect to take whatever he wanted while another employee dialed 911, scaring the suspect
