A man is wanted for reportedly robbing a business in Rowan County. According to Rowan County Communications, the robbery occurred at the Rite Aid on East Innes Street around 8:43 p.m. Officials say the robber reportedly told a pharmacist that he had a weapon and demanded medication. The man then reportedly fled from the business, officials said.
One person has been shot during a reported breaking and entering at a northeast Charlotte home, police said. The incident happened early Thursday morning, Jan. 11 along the 4800 block of Abercromby Street.

Two police cars were involved in a crash Monday night in Winston-Salem. The wreck happened on Clemmonsville Road near Orchard Creek Lane around 10:15 p.m. Police say officers in both vehicle were responding to a call at the time of the crash.
Two people were arrested in connection with a break-in Monday in Rockingham County. Travis Lonnie Bradshaw and Sabely Elizabeth Stuart are accused of breaking and entering and theft in Reidsville Jan. 3 around 12:40 p.m.

A Johnston County teen is charged with shooting and killing another teenager in the suspect’s Smithfield home Monday afternoon, officials said. A man accused of shooting a pregnant woman in North Carolina who later gave birth has turned himself in. The Davidson County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post that 18-year-old Joshua Kaleb Norman was taken into custody Thursday. It said he was wanted on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon after Wednesday's shooting of 21-year-old Haley Causey.
A Charlotte teen was grazed in the head by a bullet during a drive-by shooting in Steele Creek. Police said a 16-year-old boy was in a car on Steele Creek Road next to the Rivergate Shopping Center when another vehicle pulled up and opened fire.

Greensboro police arrested another man Tuesday night in connection to a motel homicide. Kenya Ricardo James was shot and killed in room 218 of the Super Motel on the 200 block of East Seneca Drive. Mickey Lee Williams, Jr., 33, of Greensboro, was arrested Tuesday after homicide detectives developed sufficient information from interviews and evidence to charge him with first-degree murder.
A man who was wanted in connection with a deadly shooting in Hickory has turned himself in to authorities Tuesday. Thomas Alexander Seabrooks, 32, has been arrested for the murder of Michael Bryan Gardner, 27, of Granite Falls.
A man from Wilmington has been charged in a deadly vehicle crash that happened on New Year’s Day. Trooper J. Ballard of the State Highway Patrol says Steven Derengowski, 25, is charged with driving while impaired after the crash that happened around 8:45 p.m. Monday on River Road in New Hanover County.
