A car crash in east Charlotte left two people seriously injured. According to Medic, the crash happened near East W.T. Harris Boulevard and Deliah Lane. Officials say the two people were treated for serious injuries and transported to Carolinas Medical Center.
Burlington police are looking for a man who allegedly forced his way into a woman's home and attempted to sexually assault her. The incident happened Sunday night in the 600 block of Center Avenue.

An Asheville man has been charged with Left of Center after a crash on U.S. 70 near Swannanoa Wednesday. The crash happened at about 12:30 p.m. when a station wagon, driven by 62-year-old Joel Hudson of Asheville, traveled from the eastbound land into the westbound lane and collided into a tractor trailer.
A Henderson police officer was injured and another person was killed during an exchange of gunfire Thursday night. It happened at 9:15 p.m. in the 500 block of Skenes Avenue. Henderson police spokesman Lt. Chris Ball said the officer, whose hasn't been released, was serving a narcotics search warrant on Skenes Avenue.
A Henderson police officer was shot Thursday night in an officer-involved shooting on Skenes Avenue in Vance County, according to county officials. Officers were serving an arrest warrant at a home, when someone in the home opened fire on officers shortly after 9 p.m. Officers returned fire striking someone in the house.

A man wanted for assaulting an officer in Iredell County, among multiple other charges, was found hiding in a closet Tuesday. Deputies say a probation officer went to check on 27-year-old Randy Lee Cook at his home Monday and Cook assaulted the officer and ran off. Officers searched the home after obtaining a warrant and found Cook hiding in a closet. Cook was arrested and brought to the Iredell County Detention Center.
One person was rushed to the hospital after a shooting in northeast Charlotte Wednesday afternoon. The shooting happened just after 2 p.m. on Beechway Circle, off of N. Tryon St near West Sugar Creek Road. Medic said the victim was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with very serious injuries. Officers determined that the victim was shot in the 4400 block of North Tryon Street in a parking lot and ran to Beechway Circle to seek assistance.
A person was shot Tuesday night in Winston-Salem after gunfire was exchanged during a burglary at an apartment complex. Winston-Salem police said they responded to the 5100 block of Ambercrest Drive on a report of a shooting at 7:48 p.m.
A Charlotte restaurant is accused of serving a man 17 shots of liquor before the man crashed his vehicle on the I-485 flyover bridge and plunged 70 feet onto I-77 in September. Investigators are saying that 48-year-old Robert Kite consumed the shots within four hours, at the Wild Wing Café on Ayrsley Town Boulevard, which is a state violation
Two teen girls broke into a home, killed pets inside and set a car on fire on Super Bowl Sunday, the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office said. Hallie Lauren Pate, 17, of Kinston and Jordan Alexis Ruiz, 18, of Albertson face 12 charges each, including burning personal property, felony cruelty to animals and breaking and entering charges.

A woman is facing charges after police said she slammed her vehicle into a patrol car at a crash site. Raleigh police said the first two-vehicle crash happened after midnight on the inner loop of I-440 between Wake Forest Road and Capital Boulevard.

Investigators say a teen who shot and killed another teen in Catawba County Wednesday night acted in self defense and will not be charged. The shooting happened around 6 p.m. at a home on the 4000 block of Fairview Drive. A 17-year-old went into the home and pulled a gun on a teen inside, according to deputies. The person inside, also a 17-year-old, then shot the teen multiple times.
