Hours after a person was reportedly shot and wounded along Statesville Avenue in north Charlotte, first responders said a trio of new shooting incidents were reported in the area Saturday evening
According to troopers, a 2003 Jeep Liberty traveling north crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a southbound 2018 Nissan Altima. The driver of the Jeep, Randy Johnson, 62, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Troopers said he was not wearing a seat belt.
